O'Toole's Smallville Supermom
Everything changes with time. Back in 1983, Annette O'Toole played Superman's friend and crush from childhood, Lana Lang in Superman III. Now, O'Toole has been cast as Superman's mother, Martha Kent, in the fall TV series Smallville, airing on The WB and produced by Warner Bros. TV and Tollin/Robbins Productions. The series focuses on the Man of Steel's life as a teenage in small town Kansas. O'Toole most recently starred in the USA Network action series The Huntress, which is not related to the DC Comics character of the same name.
