Owen Crowned King

The Walt Disney Co. has signed Clive Owen to play King Arthur and is negotiating with fellow Stephen Dillane to play Merlin in Jerry Bruckheimer's version of the English legend. The film is being prepared for spring start with Antoine Fuqua (Training Day) directing.
This version is being described as a more realistic portrayal of King Arthur and the Knights of the Round Table than has previously been shown on the big screen. It will focus on politics and history in the post-Roman empire period.
