Theron Drawn to Aeon Flux
Charlize Theron is currently negotiating to follow up her Oscar-nominated role in Monster with a science fiction franchise – Aeon Flux. Paramount Pictures and director Karyn Kusama are negotiating to have Theron play the futuristic assassin that debuted in a series of animated shorts on MTV. The big screen version would be produced by Gale Ann Hurd, who also produced The Punisher, The Hulk and the Terminator films, to name a few. Theron has won the SAG Award and Golden Globe Award so far and is considered the favorite to win the Best Actress Oscar for Monster. The filmmakers are hoping to start production on Aeon Flux in June.
